BAND PORTAL

Take a few minutes to explore the portal, looking specifically for

  • Charts

  • Board Recordings

  • Policies - Code of Conduct, Getting Paid, Travel Policies, etc

  • Wardrobe Guides

WARDROBE GUIDES

First impressions count. Musicians and techs must follow the dress code outlined in gig emails for all performances and client interactions.

Be Professional:

Dress neatly and appropriately. Grooming should reflect professionalism and care.

All Black Soundcheck:

All staff must wear all black to soundcheck: black jeans, joggers, shirts, sweaters, or button-downs, suited to the season and style.

Essential Items:

While most costumes are provided by DBE, musicians are expected to supply certain essential pieces. Review the wardrobe guides below to confirm you have all the essentials in your closet.

GETTING PAID

Payments are handled through an app called Melio. After you’re booked on your first gig, you will receive an email from accounting (accounting@downtownbandentertainment.com) requesting your payment preference and a W-9.

Once your bank info is entered and W-9 is completed, you’ll be able to receive payment, which is scheduled the Wednesday before a gig. Funds typically arrive in 3–5 business days. You are not required to set up a Melio account, but creating one lets you track payments and update your info anytime.

COMMUNICATION - WTG

We communicate with band members through Where’s The Gig (WTG), our gig management portal. All gig invites and final details will be sent via WTG. To make sure we get get you booked on gigs, follow these steps:

  • Check your email for your login credentials

  • Add admin@wheresthegig.com to your email contact list, so these emails don't go to your junk folder

  • Explore the tutorial videos below to familiarize yourself with the system.

SQ4U APP

DBE uses in-ear monitors on stage via the SQ4U app so that musicians can personalize their own mix before and during the show. Before the gig, download the SQ4U app to your phone. At the soundcheck of your first gig, the Band Leader or Lead Vocalist will help you get online and get your mix set up.
